About the Project

Hexbug wanted to transform their Junk Bots toy line into a modern, connected entertainment franchise. They turned to Wind Sun Sky to expand the brand across animation, digital play, and merchandise.

We delivered an eight-part CGI series that premiered on YouTube, alongside a Roblox story game with millions of plays, custom toy codes, and interactive content. This multiplatform strategy allowed fans to continue their adventure seamlessly, turning toys, video, and gameplay into one cohesive, immersive universe.

Join the fun as JunkBot Jack Static, receives a cryptic message on his radio, setting in motion an epic journey of adventure, mystery, and awesome junk builds alongside a team of inventive, hilarious and “butt-kicking” Bots – all in this CGI Web Series and Roblox Junk-based universe.

The Junkbots toy series from HEXBUG was more than just collectible figures—it was the foundation of a larger storytelling universe. With over 36 characters to discover, kids could build, deconstruct, and reimagine their own Junkbots worlds through hands-on play.

Wind Sun Sky Entertainment partnered with HEXBUG to ensure the toys, animated series, and digital content connected seamlessly, reinforcing the brand’s narrative and fueling fandom across platforms. By integrating story-driven play with digital extensions, we helped transform Junkbots into a multi-channel experience.

Roblox Game

Junkbots: Junk Wars, A Roblox Game

How do you bring the chaotic creativity of Junkbots into the world’s biggest gaming platform? Working with Gamefam, we built a Roblox experience that dropped players right into the animated series main hub entitled Junkbot City. Here, fans could explore, unlock missions, collect parts, and uncover hidden Junkbots along the way.

This extension of the Junkbots animated universe gave kids the chance to play the story themselves—bridging toys, animation, and interactive gameplay. By meeting fans where they already play, the Roblox world became a key driver in expanding Junkbots’ digital footprint and deepening fan engagement.
