Position: Production Manager
Position Type: Full-time Employee
Start Date: Nov 28, 2023
Location: Vancouver, BC
Salary Range: $75-85k/year
PRODUCTION MANAGER
Do you have experience overseeing day-to-day operations in production? Have you managed creative and technical teams to accomplish their project-based goals? Are you an organizational wiz with a love for media production? If so, you could be who we are looking for to help grow our team!
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Work with producer to assign crew tasks and monitor crew output.

Track quota and output from one department to the next.

Review production status in all departments daily to ensure deadlines are being met.

Prepare and distribute production departmental reports.

Meet with department point people (APM/ Coordinators) daily to address and resolve current issues.

Manage team resources to ensure everyone has the proper tools.

Forecast delays in production, strategize coverage and solutions and communicate these to producers.

Collaborate with creative team to execute production tasks and communicate clear perimeters at each stage.

Oversee production materials to ensure they are tracked and recorded, and naming protocols are being followed.

Manage budget for assigned areas of work and find efficiencies where necessary.

Maintain production schedule, working closely with producer.

Maintain and issue regular tracker with status updates to stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

University degree or equivalent preferred.

4+ years relevant experience.

Clear understanding of the principles of animation production.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Solid computer database skills.

Solid work ethic and positive attitude. Flexible and calm demeanour.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Ability to make quick decisions and accept responsibility.

Ability to communicate processes, plans, and concepts and set clear expectations.

Share information and techniques with team members. Encourage feedback and be open to new initiatives.

Efficient and detail oriented. Ability to deliver work on time and meet set performance objectives within the production budget and scheduled parameters.
